Demetrius D. McClendon is a beyond-the-four-walls, renaissance man of the Gospel, with an earnest passion and clear vision to reach the world for the Kingdom. He fulfills his several callings as minister, husband, father, vocalist, musician and preacher of the Word of God with excellence, integrity, and just the right touch of holy fervor and flair!
Pastor Mac began his musical ministry at age five and began formally studying music at age ten. He is an accomplished musician, songwriter and vocalist. His gifts have truly made room for him and have afforded him opportunities to travel throughout the United States as well as abroad, ministering as well as conducting workshops and clinics.
He is a graduate of Huston-Tillotson University with an earned B.A. in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance. Pastor Mac also received a Master of Arts in Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Outside the four walls, his God-given vision is unique, global and multi-faceted, manifesting itself in the parent entity D2M2 Ministries© which is comprised of four divisions; PathWay Productions©, PathWay Records©, PathWay Ministries© and BACMA Music Publishing©.
As a typical "P.K." (preacher's kid) who experienced the highs and lows of being the child of a pastor, at age 15 Pastor Mac was initially reluctant to answer the call himself, knowing that it would involve sacrifice and time demands. He describes his "wrestling match" in words much like the prophet Jeremiah: "But His Word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones."
God has now assigned him the awesome task of advancing the Kingdom through ministry in the form of the Pastorate in Midlothian, Texas at ONE Church©.
A priest, provider and protector of his family, his wife, Alexis, and daughters MacKenzie Alon and Michaela Annise, are the center of his earthly joy. Pastor Mac unashamedly shares, "She [Alexis] has been my anchor of support and motivation and my girls have completely captured my heart." The McClendons have been married nearly a decade.
